Kaustuv's wedding

It was not very long ago, that a good friend of mine, Kaustuv, was preparing to take matrimony wows in Noida while friends and family gathered to celebrate the occasion.

For a Punjabi wedding, it was a rather silent wedding - but nevertheless was a memorable occasion.

I decided to take the lead to participate in local family functions from the groom's side. In a rather complicated many-to-many function mapping, the groom's side showered gifts to the bride's family in no particular order. 6 Cars, 15 minutes and one sector later, the party arrived. The bride, neatly dressed, along-with her parents welcomed us. A frenzy of photographs and some delicious snacks followed as the parties settled down to exchange anecdotes. A visit to the temple followed.

Good stuff!

The wedding day was also, not without action, as a bit of a fire caused panic, but all was done with very soon. A 10 minute shake-of-the-leg baaraat was all that we had to offer!

Got back home late with Riddhi and Aditi staying over at my place.

I somehow do not remember if I did anything else apart from attend the wedding during that visit to Delhi.

As the 4th wedding of our MT batch draws closer, I wonder what's in store for this one?

Feeling a tad excited!
